From the director who brought you the cult hit Suicide Club, Sono Shion comes a chilling thriller Noriko no Shokutaku (a.k.a. Noriko’s Dinner Table). The movie covers events both before and after Suicide Club, focusing on the mass suicide of 54 schoolgirls that opened Suicide Club. A 17-year-old girl named Shimabara Noriko (Fukiishi Kazue) runs away to Tokyo because she is unhappy with her family. In Tokyo she joins a club of schoolgirls led by Kumiko (Tsugumi). The club called ‘Family Circle’, it is actually a business of rented girls to people to create pseudo-families. Soon Noriko’s younger sister Yuko (Yoshitaka Yuriko) also joins her in Tokyo and the Circle. Because join the business the girls slowly lose their original selves. What appears to be a comforting service to create families is actually a shocking plan to destroy the girls.
